KPI Recruiting is seeking a skilled Meat and Seafood Buyer to join our client's team based in Erith. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to obtain high-quality meat and seafood products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a network of reliable meat and seafood suppliers.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms and conditions for meat and seafood products.
  • Maintain purchasing contracts, pricing agreements, and terms to ensure compliance and cost effectiveness.
  • Forecast stock levels and place orders accordingly to ensure a consistent supply of ingredients.
  • Track order delivery status and review customs clearance documents to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
  • Stay updated on food and customs regulations to ensure all products meet legal requirements.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal sales teams regarding product delivery status, quality issues, and sales performance.
  • Assist in improving product specifications based on market trends and feedback.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Meat and Seafood Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
  • Existing network of reliable meat and seafood suppliers.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and customs regulations.
  • Ability to forecast inventory needs and manage stock levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
