The Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Production Manager to join our team at Colt Precision Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for scheduling and managing the workload of our CNC machine shop and finishing department.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Workload Management: Effectively schedule and manage the department's workload to meet monthly delivery plans.
  2. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of machine operators, programmers, and finishers, including training and mentoring junior team members.
  3. Quality Focus: Implement quality control measures to address root causes of failures and ensure compliance with quality accreditations.
  4. Project-Based Tasks: Participate in project-based tasks and provide hands-on input to ensure successful project delivery.
  5. Process Optimisation: Continuously review and improve processes to optimise efficiency and operator training.
  6. Documentation: Ensure all documentation within the department is up-to-date and meets customer expectations.
  7. Health & Safety: Complete risk assessments and drive best practice health and safety protocols throughout the department.
  8. Company Policies: Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  9. CNC Machine Expertise: Possess an excellent understanding of CNC machines, including 3-axis and 5-axis machines.
  10. Management Experience: Demonstrate proven management or supervisory experience.
  11. Medical Instrumentation: Experience working with medical instrumentation is highly desirable.
