About the Role

GSL Education is offering an excellent opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist provision in Redditch. This role is ideal for a graduate looking to make a positive impact in the lives of young people with SEMH needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEMH needs in their learning and social development.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students from the start.
  • Use restorative practices to help manage behaviour and resolve conflicts.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to create a safe, supportive environment.
  • Encourage students to reach their full potential both academically and socially.
Requirements
  • Recent graduate with an interest in Criminal Justice or Restorative Practices.
  • A passion for working with young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and committed to making a difference.
  • Ability to work in a team and build relationships with students and staff.
