The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Art Handler to join our team in London. As an Art Handler, you will be responsible for the safe handling, installation, and movement of artworks throughout our galleries and back-of-house areas.

You will work closely with our Senior Art Handler, Head of Saleroom, and wider operations team to ensure the smooth running of auctions and other events. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient handling of artworks, including installation, movement, and storage
  • Supporting specialist departments in the day-to-day management and movement of property
  • Adhering to Bonhams' internal processes and health and safety policies
  • Providing excellent client service and support to clients and colleagues
  • Working at height and using gallery equipment as required
  • Regularly lifting and moving heavy objects, including artworks, furniture, and equipment
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Art Handler who is able to work calmly under pressure and has a flexible approach to work. You will be able to work evenings and weekends when required and are able to undertake regular lifting and moving of heavy objects.

You will have previous experience and knowledge of handling and installing fine art, and excellent client service skills. You will be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
