Residential Deputy Manager Job Description

Meridian Business Support is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Deputy Manager to join their team. As a key member of the management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the residential care home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring that high-quality care is provided to residents.
  • Supervise and train care staff in all aspects of their work, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments of residents, ensuring that their care plans and daily records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Foster effective communication with residents, their families, and external care professionals, ensuring that all parties are informed and involved in the care process.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the care team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager or in a similar role.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with residents, families, and staff at all levels.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality care.
