About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HLTA to join our team at Five Education Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing general classroom support and leading maths interventions for students in a small alternative provision in Gloucester.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work under the guidance of the manager to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom and maths interventions.
  • Support students during lessons, providing individualized attention and assistance as needed.
  • Lead some maths lessons when requested, utilizing your expertise to engage and educate students.
  • Develop and implement maths interventions, working closely with the manager and other staff members to ensure effective outcomes.
Essential Criteria/Skills
  • HLTA qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in teaching and learning.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills, enabling effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong behaviour management skills, allowing you to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Excellent maths skills, with the ability to teach and support students in this subject area.
Desirable Criteria
  • Previous experience working with Key Stage 3 pupils, providing a deep understanding of their needs and abilities.
  • Previous experience teaching maths lessons, enabling you to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.
