Education Network Leeds is actively looking for committed and enthusiastic Support Assistants to join our team in Special Educational Needs (SEN) institutions. This role focuses on addressing challenging behaviours and supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements.
As a Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience of students with varied learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management techniques.
- Observe and document student progress, behaviour, and emotional health, providing consistent feedback to the educational team.
- Foster a positive school environment and adhere to the institution's values and policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates should possess:
- Previous experience in a similar capacity within the SEN sector, particularly in managing challenging behaviours and SEMH needs.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Support Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding protocols and a dedication to promoting child welfare.
