Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Setter to join our team at GI Pro. As an Extrusion Setter, you will be responsible for monitoring production processes, ensuring optimum running conditions, and resolving machine-related production/quality issues in an efficient and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring production processes to ensure optimum running conditions
  • Tooling change overs
  • Resolving machine-related production/quality issues in an efficient and timely manner
  • Providing efficient end of shift handovers
  • Producing quality extruded product
  • Barrel and screw cleaning
  • Start-up and shutdown of the extrusion lines
  • Monitoring and maintaining quality in accordance with specification
  • Using fork truck and manual means to move raw material and finished products
  • Assisting with extrusion trials
  • Helping to achieve optimum production
  • Assisting other extrusion setters and operators
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace and good housekeeping within the department
  • Measuring and recording quality checks and monitoring product quality
  • FOLLOWING and understanding operating procedures and setting sheets for extruded products
  • Informing the Production Manager immediately of any breaches of the works rules

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow and understand operating procedures and setting sheets
