About the Role

The Manchester College is seeking a highly skilled Achievement Tutor to join our Automotive Construction Engineering and Logistics Department at our Openshaw Campus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a highly effective tutorial and pastoral programme that ensures the overall academic, pastoral, social, and behavioural progress of students is tracked and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage allocated students/groups and deliver a tailored tutorial programme that meets the needs of each student.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department English, maths, and Progress to ensure students achieve outstanding retention, achievement, progress, and progression outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures that promote student success.

Requirements

  • Certificate of education or PGCE.
  • Current and valid industry specialism.
  • Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grade C or grade 4 and above.
