Job Description:
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supportive Education Professional to join our team at New Directions Holding. As a key member of our education support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with additional needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, ensuring a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans, ensuring students receive the best possible support.
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students.
- Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities, ensuring you stay up-to-date with best practices in education support.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with children or adults with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A positive and ambitious attitude to learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
