Forklift Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team at Harrisons Recruitment. As a Forklift Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including unloading and loading freight, checking in shipments, and processing freight for re-distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload and load freight from Company and third-party vehicles
  • Check in and book in shipments on an in-house system
  • Liaise with our ERTS team in handling and authorising Airline release Notes for onward moving shipments
  • Process freight ready for re-distribution
  • Perform daily checks to ensure the warehouse is safe and tidy

Requirements:

  • Forklift (Counterbalance) driving experience is essential
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to make a valuable contribution to our busy team
  • The ability to communicate well both verbally and written
  • The ability to produce computer generated paperwork
  • Great customer service and team working skills
  • Customs regulations and airfreight/logistics industry experience an advantage

What We Offer:

  • £11.50-14.00 per hour depending on shift

  • 8/12-hour shift
