Job Title: Reception Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Reception Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that inspire a love of learning and support the development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Reception-age children.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing regular feedback and setting targets to ensure all children achieve their best.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to deliver a cohesive and supportive learning experience.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and offering guidance on how they can support learning at home.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, participating in events and activities that promote the school's values and mission.
Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in EYFS.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
  • A nurturing and patient approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with young children.
  • Creative and engaging teaching methods that support children's curiosity, exploration, and confidence.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
