Transforming Indirect Tax Compliance at Amazon

Amazon's international business expansion and complex tax legislation have resulted in over 2,000 indirect tax registrations in 75 countries, generating 35,000 indirect tax-related filings annually. To address this challenge, we are seeking a Manager to join our Indirect Tax Compliance Automation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the analysis of compliance teams' needs and design new compliance tools and processes.
  • Identify and articulate technology needs, and construct tax technology solutions.

We are looking for an experienced indirect tax technology professional who can help us address this field of work globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of indirect tax compliance and a passion for leveraging technology to improve processes and eliminate inefficiencies.

Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in indirect tax (VAT/GST) with a public accounting firm, major law firm, or in industry.
  • 6 years of experience with indirect tax software to automate compliance processes.
  • User experience of desktop data analytics and technology tools, including Alteryx and Excel VBA.
