About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Age UK. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive an excellent service and that our store is running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the store's sales and profits, ensuring that targets are met and exceeded.
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers, providing effective leadership, training, and development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and sales.
  • Manage the store's inventory, including ordering and receiving stock.
  • Ensure that the store is maintained to a high standard, including cleaning and maintenance.
  • Manage the store's finances, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT literacy and numeracy skills.
