The Opportunity

Abbott is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Diabetes Care Division. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software systems for use in the manufacture of ADC products.

About the Role

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of projects. Your primary focus will involve:

  • Designing and developing software solutions for process machinery, desktop applications, and test prototypes.
  • Collaborating with teams to provide state-of-the-art equipment solutions.
  • Mentoring junior software developers.

About You

To be successful, you will have a strong background in software development, with a minimum of HNC in an Electronic or Software related engineering discipline. You will have experience with Windows application development in C# using the Microsoft Visual Studio Environment. Additionally, you will have a proven track record of designing software solutions from the ground up with a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
