Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Thorpe Park Resort in Chertsey, Surrey. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the park, ensuring a high level of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment, including PLC control systems
  • Participate in the execution and planning of the annual winter PPM and certification programme
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic checks and fault finding using programmable logic controls (PLCs)
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to ensure smooth operation of rides and attractions
Requirements:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline
  • Thorough understanding of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Ability to read and use engineering drawings
  • Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of AC/DC drives and their associated motors or pumps
  • Experience of working within a heavy industrial/automated environment
