About the Role:

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join Foresight Search Ltd's regional commercial team in Bristol. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day commercial aspects of refurbishment contracts, including estimating and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To ensure optimal commercial returns are achieved for the project.
  • Prepare accurate cost/value reconciliation reports.
  • Agree interim valuations at agreed dates to gain the best commercial advantage for the company.
  • Maximize project margins by agreeing final accounts with subcontractors.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract orders in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain control of subcontractor accounts and minimize cost variations.
  • Carry out duties as a quantity surveyor on projects as instructed.
  • Prepare or assist with cost/value reconciliation reports on a monthly basis, accurately reporting the forecast final financial position of the project.
  • Prepare turnover cash flow forecasts as directed by line manager at the commencement of all projects, updating as required and recording actual valuation achieved against forecast.
Requirements:
  • Solid experience with a national or regional main contractor.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering refurbishment projects or maintenance.
