Traffic Operations Coordinator

Hourly Rate: £11.50 p/h - Flexible based on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Working Hours:
Hours may vary, including potential night shifts compensated at a higher rate. Weekend work is optional, with plenty of opportunities for overtime.
Role Overview:
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will collaborate with a team to oversee traffic management operations across the South West, in line with contractual obligations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic. Additional training for career advancement in the traffic management sector will be provided for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and dismantle Temporary Traffic Management systems
- Manage and maintain equipment, including temporary traffic signals and road closures
- Conduct site maintenance for traffic management setups
- Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors
- Report incidents and near misses
Ensure daily vehicle inspections are performed to maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards for both drivers and passengers.
Candidate Requirements:
- Adaptability and flexibility in work approach
- Motivated with a proactive mindset
- One year of experience in a similar traffic maintenance role is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be offered. *Training is contingent upon signing a training agreement
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred
- Completion of a Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course (TTMBC) is advantageous but not required, as we can provide this training for the right candidate.
