Your New Role
As an Engineering Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in our Purchasing team, driving procurement activities across the business. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Negotiating and Placing Orders: Source and procure materials, components, and services in line with project requirements.
- Supplier Management: Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Cost Savings and Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven Purchasing Experience: A strong background in purchasing within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Engineering Knowledge: Understanding of engineering drawings and basic manufacturing processes.
- Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail, with an impeccable, thorough, and accurate approach.
