Job Title: Assembly Technician

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at Inspire Resourcing Ltd. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling electrical wiring control panels, plumbing control panels, and mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electrical wiring control panels (PLC) and plumbing control panels (training provided)
  • Prepare and pack all equipment to meet production schedules
  • Work closely with the project coordinating team to deliver production schedules and advise on timescales
  • Test and monitor equipment prior to delivery to ensure high-quality standards
  • Ensure quality standards are met in all work, from paperwork to manufacturing
Maintaining Quality Standards:
  • Test and monitor equipment prior to delivery to ensure high-quality standards
  • Assemble products to the highest quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction and ease of commissioning for engineers
Health & Safety:
  • Maintain a high standard of Health & Safety in workshop areas, wearing PPE as dictated by the Health and Safety Policy
  • Keep own workspace clean, tidy, and free of debris
  • Recycle and dispose of waste and packaging in an environmentally friendly way
Stock Preparation and Administration:
  • Answer incoming enquiries, whether by phone or email, to the manufacturing department
  • Assist with stock taking and understand the importance of accuracy for this task
  • Manage and maintain stock levels to the required quantity and notify the Operations Manager of reordering requirements
  • Accept incoming deliveries, check and unpack, and store in the correct area of the workshop

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in an electrical engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with all areas of electrics, pumps, and control systems is a significant advantage
  • Electrical engineering qualification to BTEC Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
  • Forklift operator
