About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Waste Resource Operative to join our team at ISS. As a Waste Resource Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe management of waste and recyclables on our site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the collection of waste, including identifying access routes and ensuring the safety and suitability of collection equipment and machinery.
  • Identify and segregate materials suitable for recycling, ensuring they meet required quality standards.
  • Process and dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with regulatory and organisational procedures, demonstrating application of the Waste Hierarchy and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow safe working procedures and practices, adhering to legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Identify and address potential health, safety, and hygiene issues, in line with company policies and procedures.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Appropriate qualifications or experience in manual handling and general health and safety at work.A valid forklift truck driving licence (desirable).High motivation and a strong work ethic.Knowledge of Health and Safety at work and risk assessments.Basic IT skills.A willingness to develop own skills and knowledge.A full UK driving licence.
