Work Schedule Adjustment: In alignment with NHS Scotland's initiative, the standard full-time working week will transition from 37.5 to 37 hours. This change will take effect without any alteration in remuneration. For part-time employees, this adjustment will be applied on a pro-rata basis. Please note that while this new working schedule is set to commence, certain service areas may require temporary adherence to the previous schedule, necessitating up to an additional 30 minutes of work per week until the transition is fully implemented.
Position Overview: This role is a fixed-term opportunity lasting 23 months.
Shift Details: The specific shift pattern for this role is yet to be determined.
Role Responsibilities: We invite applications from motivated individuals eager to join the Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) within the Care Home Service. This position will focus on assisting care homes with their procurement processes, minimizing waste, and conducting medication assessments.
The successful candidate will become a vital member of the NHSGGC Prescribing Support Team, collaborating with care home services, general practitioner practices, community pharmacies, and the broader prescribing team, as well as engaging with patients and their caregivers. Additionally, the role includes conducting non-complex follow-up visits to support residents in care homes. As part of the larger Prescribing Team, you will play a crucial role in promoting cost-effective and evidence-based medication practices.
Required Skills: This position demands exceptional communication, negotiation, organizational, and IT capabilities. It presents a valuable opportunity to embark on a career in Primary Care, working alongside multidisciplinary teams, particularly within Care Homes, GP Practices, Community Pharmacies, and various social care environments. Previous experience in a healthcare setting or as part of a multidisciplinary team is advantageous.
