Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer to support our sales team in delivering excellent customer service and bridging the gap between our engineering capabilities and sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice and support to sales representatives at customer meetings and site visits.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial offers and ensure that customers' technical needs are thoroughly understood and addressed.
  • Supply technical knowledge and designs through precise calculations and detailed drawings.
  • Engage directly with customers to address engineering and technical inquiries.
  • Advise management and depot managers on project-specific purchases and specialized cross-rent options to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Develop and enhance product applications to consider commercially viable technologies within our target industries.
  • Prepare and hand over detailed project documentation and specifications to the Depot Team to ensure execution meets customers' expectations.
  • Provide Project Management support to the Depot Manager when required to ensure operational delivery of specified projects.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or significant industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of engines and engine installations.
  • Experience in design, development, and validation of components.
  • Ability to undertake detailed on-site test work.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Project management skills to oversee projects from end to end.
  • Commercially aware of cost implications and revenue-generating opportunities.
