To enhance our HR operations, we are excited to announce a new role within our vibrant and expanding organization, seeking a Regional HR Relations Advisor to join our team.
This position is ideal for a dedicated employee relations professional eager to contribute to a business focused on improving its employee relations framework.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee regional employment-related matters, acting as a policy consultant and case manager for local issues.
You will assist line managers with practical approaches to everyday contractual issues, disciplinary actions, performance enhancement, grievances, and absenteeism, while also providing coaching to ensure that managers are equipped to handle personnel matters fairly, legally, and effectively.
As the Regional HR Relations Advisor, you will collaborate closely with the Regional Head of HR to advance the employee relations function, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing expert advice and coaching on Employment Law policies (e.g., performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, equal opportunities, long-term absence management, restructuring, immigration) to empower managers in delivering effective people management practices and ensuring consistent, legally compliant decisions.
In partnership with the Head of HR, develop and implement local initiatives (e.g., management training) to mitigate legal and internal compliance risks, identifying potential issues and options for resolution.
Stay informed about changes in employment legislation and HR best practices.
Support managers with the administration of employment law-related processes.
Identify Employment Law risks and escalate to the Regional Head of HR when necessary, coaching new disciplinary managers on Employment Law policies and best practices.
Analyze trends and ensure compliance through the review of the Case Management Tool, interpreting and reporting findings to influence progress and performance, and assisting the Head of HR with the coordination of the CMS program for Employment Law.
Qualifications:
A legal qualification or CIPD Level 7 (with specialist Employment Law units) is preferred.
Extensive experience in Employee Relations, providing advice to middle management, with up-to-date knowledge of labor laws.
Familiarity with best practices and ACAS codes.
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software.
Experience in a retail or hospitality setting is advantageous.
The ability to collaborate and share best practices with various stakeholders using strong influencing skills.
A valid driving license is essential, along with the ability to travel regularly within your designated region.
