Job Title: Portfolio Monitoring Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Monitoring Specialist to join our team at Legal & General Investment Management. As a key member of our Private Credit team, you will play a critical role in the ongoing management of Private Credit investments for LGIM managed funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage the performance of investments across the Private Credit business, with a primary focus on Corporate & Alternative Debt.
  • Ensure that investment assets are appropriately monitored and managed in line with objectives and value is preserved or enhanced for LGIM clients.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, including site visits with borrowers, to discuss portfolio performance and ESG issues.
  • Present regular updates on the portfolio, including quarterly reviews and focus lists.
  • Collaborate with the internal Rating team and/or the Portfolio Management team to ensure seamless interaction and delivery of related deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience of asset management within private debt.
  • Strong working knowledge of debt capital markets and products with a focus on corporate and alternative sectors.
  • Good technical skills across Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including credit risk, rating agency methodology, and financial model analysis.
  • Organised, focussed, and self-motivated with good communication skills.
  • A solid working knowledge of relevant legal documentation types is required.
