About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at Selwyn Hall School, a new SEN school in Foxton, South West of Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all allocated areas of the curriculum to students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children with SEND and a good knowledge of the National Curriculum. They will be able to adapt their teaching to meet the needs of our pupils and create a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class group
  • Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative presentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure a high standard of education
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote pupils' engagement and learning
Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Successful Primary School Teaching experience
  • A good knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils' needs
