About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our client's small finance team in South Manchester. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing month-end results, including month-end files, journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and commentary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including month-end results, to support business decision-making.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insightful commentary to stakeholders.
- Accounting and Reconciliation: Reconcile company credit card expenditures, complete monthly bank reconciliations, and ensure daily maintenance.
- Financial Planning: Assist with the preparation of monthly commission calculations, quarterly VAT returns, and annual audit processes.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Provide support with ad-hoc analyses and projects as required.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Part-qualified or QBE in accounting, with a strong numerical and analytical skillset.
- Experience: Previous experience working in an SME, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Attributes: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.

- Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum.
