Compensation: £37,860 - £52,000 based on experience plus additional allowances
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to one of the region's largest employers, enhancing your expertise while playing a vital role in the efficient operation of our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing your knowledge in C&I building services and related systems to create engineered solutions during the operational lifecycle. This includes developing modification packages, managing plant changes, and acting as an informed client in the procurement of engineering services or products.
- Recognizing and addressing business risks or opportunities stemming from the condition of engineered systems and structures, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, quality, and reliability.
- Taking charge of engineering challenges or opportunities. Collaborate and plan effectively to deliver safe and sound solutions that meet our program obligations.
- Providing comprehensive advice, progress updates, and supporting documentation to stakeholders, including senior leadership and operational teams.
- Implementing Maintenance & Reliability Principles as directed, analyzing relevant metrics, and contributing to Key Performance Indicators and other necessary reporting. Assist in Reliability Centred Maintenance planning and conduct Root Cause Analysis.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- C&I building services (including PLCs, BMS, HVAC, SCADA, HMIs, and analogue systems) and industrial processes, along with a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, associated Approved Codes of Practice, best practices, and common industry standards.
- Experience in higher hazard or regulated industries (such as nuclear, petrochemical, or pharmaceuticals).
- Membership in an engineering institution and/or status as an Incorporated Engineer or equivalent.
- Previous experience in installation or maintenance roles, although this position is more aligned with consultancy services rather than hands-on technical tasks.
