About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Training Support Officer to join our team at Capita. As a key member of our Training Planning and Scheduling team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of training programs for the Royal Navy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and schedule timetable course templates, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Update course templates as needed, maintaining consistency and adherence to guidelines
  • Publish course dates on our in-house system, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information
  • Allocate resources and venues, optimizing utilization and minimizing conflicts
  • Provide administrative support for visits, guest lecturers, external venues, and courses within courses, ensuring seamless execution
  • Support training course-related accommodation and travel requirements for trainees, prioritizing their needs and comfort
  • Collaborate with other training support departments and Training Groups, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication
Requirements
  • Previous coordination experience, with a proven track record of success in similar roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to maintain and update existing spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely
  • Team player with initiative, able to work independently and as part of a larger team
  • Confident and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Previous planning experience, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience using TAFMIS, a plus but not required
