Software Systems Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Systems Development Engineer to join our team at TechMet Appointments. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance our manufacturing processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software solutions that meet the needs of our manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that software solutions are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
  • Participate in the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting, and workflow processes with database communication.
  • Analyze existing software and improve processes to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Organize the Design and Test Lab departments on requirements of new functionality.
  • Participate in the integration of in-house software for our test equipment.
  • Take part in on-site software debugging, machines further adaptation, and optimization.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, or.NET.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Proficiency in software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience with version control systems and database management.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience and understanding of SQL Database Migration, Restoration, and Maintenance.
  • Experience with data transformation and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processed.
  • Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, or other industrial automation software is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
