Environmental Planning Associate Director

Flagship Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planning Associate Director to join our team in London. As a key member of our environmental planning team, you will be responsible for project and account management, client relationships, and delivering high-quality environmental impact assessments.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and driven individual with expertise in environmental impact assessment, knowledge of the UK planning system, and strong client management skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy, infrastructure, and EIA planning, as well as comprehensive knowledge of the current UK planning system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project and account management for key environmental planning projects
  • Client relationship management and stakeholder engagement
  • Delivering high-quality environmental impact assessments and reports
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or masters in environmental science or equivalent
  • Experience in energy, infrastructure, and EIA planning
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the current UK planning system
  • Strong client management skills, including presentation and stakeholder engagement
  • Expert negotiation and commercial skills
  • Excellent project management skills and timeliness
  • Strong report writing skills and ability to review colleagues' work
  • Awareness of local politics and the interface between planning and politics
  • Exemplary knowledge and expertise of planning practice legislation across England and Wales
