Job Summary

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing international organisation based in the South Yorkshire region. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team and contribute to the company's financial growth and success.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the timely month-end close process across multiple entities in the US and Canada, as well as provide support to other geographies.
  • Ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of payroll, COGS, and prepayment journals across multiple entities.
  • Perform full reconciliation of general ledger codes on a monthly basis.
  • Present draft P&L, margin, accruals, and balance sheet for each entity.
  • Support and reconcile sales tax/GST/VAT submissions and payments.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks required to deliver a timely month-end.
  • Prepare and support year-end accounts and audit.
  • Contribute to statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for UK companies as required.
  • Assume local leadership for teams with non-local line management in the Barnsley office.
  • Support the integration and accounting for new acquisitions as needed.

Requirements

  • Accountancy qualification.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Proven experience in accounting, including financial accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Business acumen to understand the impact of business change on financial accounts.
