Windows Infrastructure Engineer - Quant Trading

Quant Capital is seeking a skilled Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in London. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating infrastructure systems on Windows-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement platform engineering designs for our Windows-based systems
  • Maintain our operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualization infrastructure, core network services, and messaging
  • Implement and integrate infrastructure systems on Windows-based systems
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless integration of systems across on-premises and cloud-based environments

Requirements:

  • STEM degree
  • Significant Windows systems automation experience
  • Powershell programming skills (ideally with some C# exposure)
  • Strong understanding of the Windows platform and related technologies (e.g., Active Directory and Failover Clustering)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with tracing tools and common Windows Server applications and management tools (e.g., Exchange, SQL, SCCM, Hyper-V, and ADFS)
  • Experience integrating systems across on-premises and cloud-based environments
  • Experience working with containers on Windows and Linux (preferred)
