About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team at Manor House School, a DfE registered independent school catering for boys and girls with social, emotional and mental health needs.

As a key member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, promoting their academic and personal growth, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to students aged 7-18, following the school's curriculum and policies.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the school's vision, aims, and priorities, ensuring alignment with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development to stay updated on teaching methodologies and school policies.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of £29,344 - £42,000 per annum.
  • A 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30.
  • A permanent, term-time only contract.
  • A £1,000 Welcome Bonus, paid in two installments: £500 upon starting employment and £500 after successful completion of the probation period.

Requirements

  • A fully enhanced DBS check.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
