Head of Supply Chain Management

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Supply Chain Management to join our client, a well-established Metals Fabrication business based in Wakefield.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the purchasing, planning, and materials supply of this £50m+ T/O business. Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a long-term materials management strategy
- Guiding the daily activities of the procurement of raw materials, component parts, equipment, and operating supplies required for production
- Managing the procurement, supplier development, inventory management, sales and operations planning, material master data, supplier quality, reporting, supply chain, and budgeting functions
- Leading the Supply Chain processes, applying best practice and continuous improvement to provide Excellent Customer Service
- Contributing to strategic planning and new product introduction
- Experience in managing the various aspects of the Purchasing and Stores functions
- Comprehensive understanding of metals buying
- Experience in management supply chain or operational role (minimum 5 years), ideally in a similar role/environment
