We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join our dynamic Digital team at OrganOx. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our digital products and enhancing our machine capability.

About the Role

As a Data Scientist at OrganOx, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and uncovering actionable insights that will shape our digital products and optimize the use of our devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    1. Analyze clinical and machine datasets to generate actionable insights.
    2. Develop predictive models using statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
  2. Collaboration and Communication:
    1. Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
    2. Collaborate with research partners on initiatives that advance OrganOx's role in the transplant community.
  3. Digital Product Enhancement:
    1. Provide data-driven insights to further develop digital products.
    2. Identify opportunities for improving product performance and patient outcomes.
  4. Data Management:
    1. Ensure data quality and integrity through robust data governance practices.
    2. Collaborate with IT and the Digital team to improve data processes.
  5. Innovation and Research:
    1. Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science in the context of transplantation.
    2. Foster a culture of innovation, aligning with our commitment to evidence & integrity, to drive continuous improvement in our digital solutions.
    3. Experience working with both internal and external teams to deliver projects.
  6. Programming Skills:
    1. Expert in a technical computing language such as Python, R, Matlab or Julia.
    2. Proficient in a standard programming language such as C#, F#, Java or Scala.
  7. Signal Processing and Data Analysis:
    1. Proven record of applying signal processing techniques and predictive analytics.
    2. Familiar with descriptive statistics and machine learning techniques.
  8. Integration:
    1. Preferably with experience integrating data sources using 3rd party APIs and developing research interfaces such as R packages or Jupyter Notebooks.
  9. Domain-Specific Experience (Desirable):
    1. Experience in life sciences, medical devices, digital health or predictive maintenance.
    2. A Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
    3. Relevant certifications in data science or machine learning are a plus.
