Job Title: In Room Dining Waiter
Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional In Room Dining Waiter to join our team at Raffles London at The OWO. As an In Room Dining Waiter, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Set tables and trays according to the type of food ordered and hotel service standards.
- Perform opening and closing procedures established for the department.
- Accurately record, pre-check, and pick-up all food and beverage orders.
- Ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
- Present physical and accurate checks to guests and complete the payment process.
- Have a thorough knowledge of food and beverage items, menu prices, recipes, and style of service.
- Recommend food and beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
- Check with guests regarding the satisfaction of the meal.
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, chinaware, glassware, etc., throughout the day.
- Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized.
- Ensure proper appearance and grooming while on duty.
- Ensure communication between Kitchen, Order taker, and service team members.
- Monitor operating supplies, equipment, and spoilage and wastage successfully.
- Be knowledgeable to operate the hotel's point of sales system, other order-taking systems, or handheld devices, software, etc.
- Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
- Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as requested by Supervisors.
- Take orders from guests via telephone.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Flexibility with shifts as per business demand.
- Be courteous, professional, and provide efficient service.
