Lead Environmental Sustainability on a Major Infrastructure Project

We are seeking a talented Environmental Sustainability professional to join our team and lead the development and integration of our environmental and energy management system on the HS2 Interchange Station project.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive our ambitions to push the boundaries of sustainability and help us achieve our goal to be a net zero company delivering nature positive solutions.
  2. Promote environmental initiatives aligned with our sustainability strategy, including carbon reduction, waste minimisation, and the protection and enhancement of nature.
  3. Build trusting collaborative relationships with project delivery teams, clients, and stakeholders and fully understand the client context and deliver against their needs.
  4. Implement the LOR Energy and Environmental Management System and manage environmental risks, deliverables, and requirements.
  5. Develop and deliver environmental training and manage comprehensive environmental data reporting requirements.
  6. Report and investigate environmental incidents and non-conformances and provide technical advice to project design and delivery teams.
Requirements
  1. Experience working on large infrastructure projects and a positive approach to the challenges of change.
  2. A deep understanding of environmental legislation and requirements, including ISO14001 and ISO50001, and management systems.
  3. A degree in an appropriate environment or sustainability discipline.
