Position Overview

Outpatient Physiotherapy Team Leader – 30 hours per week

Ramsay Health Care UK stands as a premier provider of private and NHS healthcare services across England, operating a network of over 30 acute hospitals and treatment centers, all rated as GOOD by the Care Quality Commission. Our Springfield Hospital has recently undergone significant expansion, now accommodating 73 admitted patients, featuring 56 single rooms, 3 twin rooms, a 3-bed high observation area, and a day-case facility with individual accommodations for up to 11 patients.

The Physiotherapy department is dedicated to managing a diverse outpatient caseload, including post-operative orthopaedic care, general musculoskeletal issues, pelvic health, pediatrics, respiratory therapy, and vestibular rehabilitation. Our facilities include seven treatment rooms equipped with air conditioning and a fully outfitted gym. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive seven-day inpatient physiotherapy service, handling a variety of orthopaedic cases alongside surgical and medical patients.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to take charge of our outpatient physiotherapy team.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to delivering patient-centered care, with proven experience in team leadership and orthopaedic/MSK services.

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the outpatient physiotherapy service, reporting directly to the Physiotherapy Manager. Responsibilities include implementing service delivery initiatives, coordinating training sessions, reviewing patient documentation, conducting audits, and assisting the physiotherapy manager in ensuring the service remains safe and effective. The successful candidate will be expected to provide exceptional care while effectively managing their workload and considering the operational needs of the department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registration with HCPC and CSP
  • Leadership experience with a focus on innovation and improvement
  • Strong knowledge of orthopaedics and musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize tasks
  • Capacity to maintain sound judgment under pressure
  • Excellent communication, accuracy, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with clinical audits and utilization of outcome tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical reasoning processes
  • Comprehensive understanding of CSP Standards of Physiotherapy Practice and Professional Conduct
  • Adherence to the governance framework of the hospital and compliance with regulatory standards (CQC)
  • Familiarity with the private healthcare sector is advantageous
  • Flexibility in work approach is essential
