Job Role: Escort/Fabric Operative

Location: HMP Feltham

Salary: £24,513.46

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team at HMP Feltham, a 15 to 18 year old male prison. As an Escort/Fabric Operative, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the prison's building fabric
  • Provide support to the facilities team in ensuring the smooth operation of the prison
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Contribute to the provision of critical and time-bound services to HMPPS

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a prison environment
  • Experience of using hand and power tools
  • Previous experience of working within a building fabric/Hard FM environment
  • Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
