The Position

As a member of our dedicated electrical testing team, you will ensure electrical compliance at customer sites, primarily within the water sector. Your role will involve traveling to various locations, primarily around the east and south of the M25.

  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of electrical installations, generating detailed reports that include necessary rectification actions.
  • Perform a variety of rectification tasks as needed, including certification.
  • Possess a solid understanding of BS 7671 requirements.
  • Work a contracted 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime and travel compensated from door to door.
  • A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided for this position.
  • All necessary tools, testing equipment, PPE, and a Tablet/Laptop and phone will be supplied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing electrical condition reports, rectification work, and installations in compliance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Ensure that all condition reports and rectification tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Exemplify and promote Bridges' values in interactions with colleagues, staff, customers, and clients.
  • Encourage positive health and wellbeing among peers.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • ECS Gold Card
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical installation
  • Full UK driving license

Desirable:

  • Experience in water, industrial, or commercial sectors
  • City & Guilds 2377
  • PASMA / IPAF certifications
  • EUSR Card
  • Confined Space training
  • Thames Water Passport
  • Emergency first aid or first aider certification
  • Fitness to work medical examination
