We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at the National Physical Laboratory.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of innovative software solutions that push the boundaries of measurement accuracy and stability.
You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure that software aligns with business strategy and work cross-functionally to gather project requirements, analyse feasibility, and provide technical recommendations.
Key responsibilities include leadership of an Agile Software team, code reviews to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and quality through testing and debugging, and adherence to standards throughout the software development cycle.
You will also be responsible for explaining complex technical concepts and advisory to both internal and external stakeholders, from technical and non-technical backgrounds.

To work at NPL, you will need to obtain BPSS security clearance. Some departments may require a higher level of security clearance.

Requirements- A minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience in design and delivery of production-ready software
