About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced commercial lawyer to join our team as a Lawyer in the Office of the General Counsel. As a key member of our Commercial and Regulatory team, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our business, ensuring that we operate within a robust and effective regulatory framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on commercial and regulatory matters, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our compliance strategy, ensuring that we maintain a strong risk management culture.
- Work closely with our business teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring that we maintain a high level of regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to ensure that our staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate within our regulatory framework.
- Collaborate with our risk management team to identify and assess potential risks, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
Requirements
- UK qualified lawyer with at least 2 years' PQE, with experience in commercial and regulatory law.
- Strong understanding of regulatory regimes and compliance requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and commercial context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our business teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
