Role Overview:
As a Logistics Technician, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the operational success of our Safety and Communications division. This position involves regular travel to various sites, where you will be responsible for the transportation and retrieval of Safety and Communications rental equipment, as well as demonstrating the equipment's functionality to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transporting and retrieving equipment for clients while completing necessary inspections and related documentation.
- Ensuring all company vehicles are operated safely and professionally, conducting all required vehicle safety assessments.
- Distributing safety and communication equipment and materials to clients on-site.
- Showcasing safety equipment in use to our customers during the delivery process.
- Diagnosing and repairing equipment as necessary.
- Upholding and promoting Health and Safety standards and compliance with equipment regulations.
- Fostering effective relationships with all members of the Operations team.
- Conducting pre-hire inspections and functionality tests to assist the branch with workload management.
- Ensuring all reporting and administrative tasks are completed in accordance with company standards.
- Meeting all key performance indicators in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Maintaining company standards while working under pressure, ensuring safety is always prioritized.
- Promoting our rental services and benefits to clients, aiming to generate additional revenue where feasible.
- Collaborating with operations to promptly resolve customer issues to everyone's satisfaction.
- Performing audit and compliance tasks.
Qualifications:
- A fully qualified driver with a clean driving record.
- A C1E license is highly desirable; however, a minimum of a 3.5 Tonne (Class B) license is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to positively represent the company in a professional and friendly manner.
- Numerate, articulate, and possessing exceptional attention to detail.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including early starts and late finishes as needed.
- A commitment to safety and compliance with current health and safety legislation and company-specific policies.
- Previous experience in Safety and Communication is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
- A willingness to develop and utilize product knowledge, with a desire to understand our product range and the broader Pertemps business.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in computer use, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
