Technical Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Coordinator to join our team at Connect It Utilities Services. As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth delivery of our multi-utility operations, ensuring the efficient management of building services and sustainable energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Control: Ensure accurate and timely saving of drawings and documents in accordance with our systems and processes.
  • Materials and Equipment Management: Review and determine materials, equipment, and service capacities in accordance with specifications.
  • Design Coordination: Liaise with teams to assist and coordinate the design process from contract award through to construction.
  • Process Management: Organize and coordinate legal requirements, safety standards, and asset management processes.
  • Gas and Water Connection Management: Direct gas and water connection requests and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Liaise with procurement colleagues to place orders for pipework, cables, and other materials.
  • Asset Management: Manage MPANS & MPRNS from relevant asset adopters and oversee the process for Asset Maps and Highway Extent Plans.
  • Substation Management: Coordinate the ordering and delivery of substations.
  • Financial Management: Make payments, send remittances, and record information.
  • Record Keeping: Organize and establish records and documentation to ensure prompt asset value support.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to Technical Managers.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: BEng or MEng related degree or minimum of 2 years' relevant engineering experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and IT skills, familiarity with database and CRM systems, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Personal Qualities: Time management skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
