Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Finning International. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for responding to customer field repair and service requests, diagnosing and resolving issues in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer field repair and service requests, providing comprehensive detail about the nature of the problem and creating a quote as per the request of the customer.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical issues on construction and static machines, utilizing the most up-to-date dealer software and repair techniques.
  • Attend site and understand customer needs, providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of issues.
  • Work in high-pressured situations and to tight deadlines, utilizing strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Use field-based diagnosis tools and equipment, and have knowledge of heavy earth moving equipment operation.
  • Formally apprenticed trained (NVQ Level 3) and served as a workshop engineer for a significant period, or development opportunity for a qualified apprentice.
  • Experience of a variety of construction and static machines essential.
