Job Title: Door Supervisors and Security Officers

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Door Supervisor and Security Officer to join our team at KBG Security Solutions. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of staff, students, and visitors at our college.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Safety and Security: Monitor the college entrance and other access points, maintaining a visible presence to deter unauthorized access and potential risks to vulnerable children and young people.
  • Safeguarding: Recognize and act on safeguarding concerns, following college procedures for identifying and reporting issues related to the safety and wellbeing of children, especially those considered vulnerable.
  • Behavioural Management: Assist in managing difficult or disruptive behaviour from students and visitors in a calm and professional manner, supporting staff to resolve conflicts peacefully.
  • Incident Response: Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, including emergencies, ensuring the safety of vulnerable students.
  • Patrolling: Carry out regular patrols around the college grounds to monitor behaviour, identify potential safety risks, and offer assistance to students, particularly those in need of extra care or support.

Requirements:

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence: A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence is required for this role.
  • Safeguarding Training: Knowledge and experience in safeguarding, particularly with vulnerable children or young people.
  • Experience Working with Vulnerable Groups: Prior experience in a security role within an educational or child-centred environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, and visitors in a manner that is clear, supportive, and sensitive to the needs of vulnerable individuals.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Work closely with other security personnel, safeguarding officers, and college staff to ensure a cohesive approach to the safety of vulnerable children.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: A clear Enhanced DBS check is required due to working in close proximity to vulnerable children.

Working Hours:

Security Requirements:

  • SIA Licence: A valid SIA licence is required for this role.
  • Driving Licence: A full driving licence is required for this role.
  • DBS Check: A clear Enhanced DBS check is required due to working in close proximity to vulnerable children.
