Job Summary:

Blaymires Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's commercial team in Southampton. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with the financial control of projects valued from £5 million to £20 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with applications for payment in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist with the production of monthly cost reports and forecasting.
  • Assist with the preparation of delay notices in accordance with contract terms.
  • Assist with the processing monthly subcontractor payments.
  • Assist with the settling final accounts.

Requirements:

  • HNC or Degree in Construction or Quantity Surveying would be an advantage.
  • Motivated and willing to learn.
  • Must have driving license.
  • Be able to communicate effectively.
  • Well organised and possess a methodical approach.
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • An appreciation of commercial awareness.
  • Possess enthusiasm and initiative.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience.
