About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our equipment and workspaces to ensure the highest level of operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
  • Utilize the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
  • Uphold all health and safety policies and practices
  • Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites
A Day in the Life

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be based on-site, responding quickly to any machinery issues. You will carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to ensure our sites' equipment is working safely. You will also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You will make suggestions for long-term improvements and work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock.

About the Team

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. We handle most aspects of Amazon's technical side, including keeping buildings legally compliant and ensuring our sites are operating at maximum efficiency.

What We're Looking For
  • A served full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
  • Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
