Job Responsibilities
  • Site Engineer: Responsible for setting out and overseeing groundworks, roads, drainage, and landscaping for residential projects.
  • Key Skills:
    • Proficient in AutoCAD and robotic equipment.
    • Hold a relevant CSCS card.
    • Excellent communication skills.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working for a reputable groundworks contractor.
    • Setting out all works and staying ahead of the workforce in their requirements.
    • Able to obtain drawings and notify any changes.
    • Request RFIs and maintain tracking system to manage responses and close outs.
    • Ensure all temporary works designs are in place.
    • Ensure all work is undertaken to the current drawings and specification.
    • Ensure setting out is undertaken in accordance with the method statement and risk assessment.
    • Assist with quality assurance (QA) checks, reports, and files.
    • Coordinate engineering resource to carry out and gather as-built information.
    • Close out defects in a timely fashion.
    • Proficient in using AutoCAD, Asta programming (optional), and N4ce Ground modelling (optional).
  • Health and Safety Responsibilities:
    • Read and understand the Health and Safety policy and procedures.
    • Work in accordance with the Quality and Environmental procedures.
    • Liaise with the site manager and report any health and safety non-compliance.
    • Attend prescribed health and safety training programmes.
    • Promote safe systems of work.
    • Set a personal example by wearing appropriate PPE.
    Requirements
    • £285 - £320 per day, negotiable.
    • Self-employed or PAYE.
    • Car driver preferred.
    • Reside in Essex or surrounding areas to minimize travel.
    • Must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
